Sink Hole / Void Grouting

SINKHOLES AND VOIDS OCCUR BELOW STRUCTURES OR ROADWAYS DUE TO IMPROPER DE-WATERING, NATURAL EROSION, OR UNCONTROLLED SOIL LOSS DURING TUNNELING. LINCOLN COMPANY PERFORMS SOIL CONSOLIDATION TO DENSIFY SOILS AND FILL VOIDS OR SINKHOLES.

  • FILL VOIDS
  • FILL VOIDS BELOW STRUCTURES
  • SOIL LOSS DURING TUNNELING
  • SINK HOLE

Sink holes and voids sometimes occur due to the natural erosion and loss of soil in rock formations. Broken utility lines, improper de-watering and uncontrolled soil loss during pipeline installations are other causes.

Flowable redi-mix is used to fill exposed voids, but pumpable grouts are required for filling voids below grade or structures. In instances where underlying soils are poorly consolidated, these more viscous grouts and mortar-like grouts are used to fill pathways and densify unstable surrounding soils.

Often a procedural grouting program is required, including steps to evaluate results and make adjustments needed.

Lincoln Company is experienced in the evaluation of these site conditions, the products and procedures required to obtain long lasting results.
